Have you ever opened a roll of copper foil tape, peeled off the little strip that holds down the end, and then have the whole thing come apart like a clock spring? That may be a little bit of an exaggeration but something like that has happened to all of us at one time or another.
Solution - The Copper Foil Spinning Reel. The unique Reel consists of three discs shaped a lot like old movie film holders and a central nylon screw and nut.
The Spinning Reel holds two rolls of foil. On one side of each disc there are 3 centering pins that fit just inside the cardboard roll of both Edco and Venture tape. You start the assembly by pushing the nylon screw through the center hole of one of the discs. Make sure the centering pins are on top. Then simply place the roll over the pins to get started.
Place the center hole of the second disc (with the centering pins up) over the nylon screw and push it down until it contacts the first roll of foil. Then place your second roll of foil over the centering pins of the disc #2.
Now place the center hole of the third disc (with the centering pins facing the roll of foil) over the nylon screw and push it down until it touches the second roll of foil. To complete the assembly just screw the accompanying nylon nut on the screw and lightly snug it against the outside of the third disc
One last little thing. The Copper Foil Spinning Reel comes in an 8 X 8 zip lock bag. You can use it to store your copper foil tape when not in use, even if you want to put it in the refrigerator.
